Name: Zoe Gatewood
Role: Business Support Supervisor
Length of time with business: Four years and eight months
1. Briefly explain your role?
As Business Support Supervisor of the pay-outs team in Hessle, alongside one other Supervisor, I am responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the Business Support team. My role is to ensure all proposals and pay-outs are processed in an accurate and timely manner, provide support where needed and complete monthly file checks. I am also a Line Manager to a team of four.
2. What do you enjoy most about your role?
I am still quite new to the role of Supervisor and finding my feet but what I have always enjoyed about working within the Business Support team is the variation in deals that come in for pay-out. There is always something new to discuss and get our heads around. Working as a team is how we achieve this.
3. How would you describe your work ethic?
Hardworking, keen and always ready to take on the next challenge. I believe I have a can-do attitude towards work and go above and beyond to do a good job.
4. If you could be an animal what would you be and why?
I know this is a popular answer and probably the “safe” answer but I would be a dog! They love you no matter what, they’re loyal and most of all bring laughter to your home! I absolutely love dogs – I mean who wouldn’t love to be fed, taken on a long walk and cuddled endlessly.
5. If you weren’t in work now, what would you be doing?
I would most likely be working on our house with my partner Eddy. Since we moved in last year we have worked really hard to get it into shape and make it our own perfect home. Still a lot more to go! If I wasn’t working due to a lottery win I would definitely be on a yacht somewhere sailing around the world seeing new and exciting places, eating gorgeous food and drinking sweet sweet wine!
6. Which of your colleagues would you like to nominate to feature next in meet the team and why?
I would like to nominate Tony Holton as he is new to the business. It would be good for everyone to meet him and find out a bit about him.
